The youthful minister was sworn in on Wednesday evening along with the other new cabinet appointees. The event was presided over by Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny-Dollo and witnessed by President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe.

After taking her oath, Nyamutoro savored a photo moment with Kenzo and the President.

Taking to social media, Kenzo once again congratulated his supposed “close friend” Nyamutoro on the new milestone.

“It's such a joy to witness your swearing in as the Minister of State for energy and mineral development (Minerals),” he posted.

Watching you walk an incredible journey of leadership makes me more proud. May God continue to protect and guide you through it all as you serve our beloved country.”

Just days ago, Kenzo came out to thwart social media reports that he and the new minister were dating.

After Kenzo and Nyamutoro were seen in a picture with the former's daughter at school and later on a picture showing them wearing the same jacket on different occasions, the UNMF president was compelled to speak out, clarifying that he and the minister were just friends.

She is my friend,” he told Sanyuka TV. “She is a very close friend.
